Coyle (ret.), Executive Director of the New England Association of Chiefs of Police, during the announcement of the Chief John D. Coyle - New England Association of Chiefs of Police Fellowship at Roger Williams University.

Roy J. Nirschel, Ph.D., President of Roger Williams University, accepts a $25,000 check from the New England Association of Chiefs of Police to establish the Fellowship at the University's Justice System Training & Research Institute. The gift begins a campaign to ensure that a distinguished policing professional with academic credentials will teach in the Institute, conduct research on behalf of the Institute, and publish articles in the interest of furthering the mission of the Institute, as well as the public profile of the partnership between the Roger Williams University and the New England Association of Chiefs of Police, as it relates to the development and presentation of law enforcement supervisory and management training throughout New England.

Director Robert McKenna of the Justice System Training & Research Institute meets with Kyrgyzstan National Police Lieutenant Sultan Abdiev. Lieutenant Abdiev has recently served as the Assistant Director of the Kyrgyzstan National Police Academy.

Chief John D. Coyle and Chief Joseph Rebello recognize Ali Unli, Kadir Ozkan, and Behsat Ekici for their successful completion of the Command Training Series: Executive Development Course in October-November 2005.
